We’ve been buzzing with excitement to share this one with you! ✨ Our latest collaboration was with none other than the creative geniuses at Art East, where they craft fresh and fun quilt patterns that stitch smiles worldwide right here in Sydney, NS.

This year's Sew-Along theme? 100 ACRE WOOD—and the excitement was real! Their exclusive Art East Sew-Along kits flew off the shelves, selling out in under one week. Quilt enthusiasts from all over were buzzing like bees for this adventure through the woods. 🌳

For this magical project, we teamed up with the owners of Art East to bring their vision to life, helping out with a styled kit photoshoot, product photography, animated teaser videos, storyboarding design for fabric supplier and Sew-Along sponsor Riley Blake Designs, and step-by-step tutorial videos!

Let’s give a BIG round of applause to Art East for their incredible 100 ACRE WOOD Sew-Along launch, which officially kicked off on October 1st! 👏 We can’t wait to see all the amazing quilts that come from this year’s adventure.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As a non-Indigenous organization in Unama'ki, we recognize the importance of confronting and educating ourselves—not just today, but every day.

This day became a federal holiday in 2021 to give Canadians time to honor the children, families, and communities affected by residential schools, and reflect on the lasting impact on Indigenous Peoples.

We encourage everyone to not only wear orange today, but to attend an event in their area, explore Indigenous literature written by First Nations, Inuit and Métis people or gain knowledge by watching an Indigenous film.

This is an essential part of the path to collective healing and reconciliation. We are stronger when we share, listen and learn from one another
